Assistant Quantity Surveyor, Coleman Specialist Cutting Services
Opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our independent family business. The Coleman Group currently operative nationally, working with main contractors, sub-contractors, public sector organisations and strategic partnerships.

The role
As a Quantity Surveyor you will work closely with our Project Managers to ensure the commercial success of each of the sites for which you are given responsibility. You will be dealing directly with clients and their professional teams with respect to valuing our ongoing accounts. You will be responsible for valuing all work on a monthly basis, close budget monitoring, cost management and forecast reporting for Senior Management and Directors. 

The right person
You will be an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a minimum of 2 years’ proven experience
Be a team player 
Will have a strong working knowledge of the construction and/or demolition industry
You will be able to work independently on projects and feedback where necessary

Junior Purchase Ledger Clerk (TEMP)
Opportunity for a Junior Purchase Ledger Clerk based from the head offices in Great Barr, Birmingham

Temporary to cover maternity, with the potential to lead to permanent employment. Looking for immediate start. 

The role
You will be maintaining the purchase ledger in an accurate and timely manner ensuring all purchases are accurately recorded. You will be processing high volumes of purchase invoices and credit card statements. You will be dealing with internal and external queries. You will be reconciling supplier statements and setting up new supplier accounts as well as all other filing and admin associated with above. Starting salary minimum wage, depending upon experience

Good knowledge of Microsoft excel / word
A strong team player
Has the ability to work independently
Excellent attention to detail
Can demonstrate good communication skills both written and verbal  
Previous experience in accounts / office environment is beneficial but not mandatory

HR Advisor (Part-time)
The Coleman Group are looking to employ an HR professional to work from the head offices in Great Barr, Birmingham.

The role
You will be advising, managing and assisting all aspects of staff recruitment, staff absence, performance management and staff disciplinary as appropriate. You will be liaising with our legal team on staff matters aswell as reviewing and ensuring legal compliance of all staff-related polices. You will also be liaising with directors to develop staff training plans whilst managing the HR and Training budgets. You will be required to give regular feedback to the board. You will be managing and developing, where appropriate, two HR administrative assistants.

The right person
Be experienced in a similar environment
Ideally be CIPD qualified with proven management experience
Have strong communication skills, and a calm, professional manner
Have a good working knowledge of employment legislation and best practice
Have the ability to build relationships at all levels
